K+S Potash Canada is looking to hire
Saskatoon – K+S Potash Canada is holding the K+S ‘We have jobs!’ Fair at Lawson Heights Mall in Saskatoon. A booth will be set up this Wednesday, December 11 & Thursday, December 12 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM each day. K+S representatives will be at Lawson Heights Mall, accepting contact information, and resumes, answering questions, and sharing information about the mine.
“K+S Potash Canada is expecting to hire approximately 60+ positions in 2014 and another 180+ throughout 2015 and 2016, with the majority of the openings in the trades and operations side of the project,” says Sam Farris, Vice President and General Manager of Operations, K+S Potash Canada. “We are looking to hire skilled people who are interested in working for a company that values its people and want to be part of creating a truly great Legacy culture.”
K+S Potash Canada is currently building the Legacy Project, a solution potash mine near Bethune, Saskatchewan. With nearly 200 employees, K+S Potash Canada is known for its commitment to work-life balance and positive work environment. “K+S has provided me with an excellent opportunity to stay in Saskatchewan and do what I love. Going forward there are endless opportunities for me to learn more and gain the skills that I need to develop my career,” says Curtis Markwart, Cavern Development Engineer, K+S Potash Canada.
“We hope to meet a lot of people at the fair this week. It will be a great opportunity to connect with those interested in a job at K+S and wanting to work in the mining sector,” says Maryann Deutscher, Manager, Employee Services, K+S Potash Canada. “Even if they aren’t looking for a job, we hope people (including friends and family of those interested) will stop by to say “hello”, learn more about K+S and enter a draw to win a prize.” If job seekers are unable to attend the job fair, they can still apply online for an open position or submit an “expression of interest” for a future opportunity, at www.ks-potashcanada.com/careers/opportunities/.
