K+S Potash Canada Welcomes Gisela Gips as Chief Operating Officer

K+S Potash Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Gisela Gips as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective April 13, 2026. 

Gisela brings more than 20 years of global mining industry experience, with a strong background in operations, planning, technical leadership, and organizational transformation.  

Throughout her career, Gisela has held senior leadership roles with BHP, ArcelorMittal Mines Canada, and Anglo American, leading integrated planning and operations, largescale improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary technical teams across multiple commodities and geographies. She is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership style, focus on safety, and ability to translate strategy into strong operational outcomes. 

As Chief Operating Officer, Gisela will lead Operations and Projects within a unified portfolio, strengthening coordination and execution across the core areas that support K+S Potash Canada’s long-term performance and growth. This integrated leadership approach supports the company’s continued focus on safe, efficient operations, disciplined capital execution, and sustainable value creation.

Gisela will be based in Saskatchewan and will spend time across both the Bethune mine site and Saskatoon office, connecting with employees and stakeholders as she transitions into her new role.
