Partnership Guidelines

K+S Potash Canada thinks differently about community investment – less about “donations,” or “sponsorships,” and more about adding purpose and building relationships in the communities where our employees live, work, and raise their families.

Our number one priority is supporting the leaders of tomorrow through youth initiatives and programming.

Youth+Us aims to create purposeful partnerships with organizations that believe in providing young people with access to more moments that inspire confidence, creativity and character.

Our Youth+Us strategy has three areas of focus:

  1. Growth and Development: Providing young people with opportunities to engage, create and discover through sports, art, culture and education.
  2. Health and Wellbeing: Enriching young people’s bodies and minds by nurturing physical, emotional and mental health.
  3. Leadership: Celebrating change-makers who work hard to provide young people with access to more in our communities and the trailblazers who are paving a better path for tomorrow.

We also look to build partnerships with organizations that align with our company goals and values including:

  • Indigenous owned, operated and/or focused organizations
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Environment, health, safety and sustainability
  • Trades and education

Applications will be assessed based on:

  • Alignment with our Youth+Us strategy
  • Alignment with our company goals and values
  • Community reach
  • Storytelling opportunities
  • Apparent financial need

Organizations must also either be a registered Canadian charity or operate as a not-for-profit to be eligible for sponsorship or donation.

The following will be excluded from consideration:

  • Organizations that do not reflect the values of K+S Potash Canada
  • Organizations that discriminate based on ethnicity, gender, sexuality, language, economic status, religion or other beliefs
  • Political parties or political fundraising
  • Individual or private fundraising
  • Individual or team travel costs
