Our commitment to safety

K+S Potash Canada is committed to preventing accidents, reducing work-related health risks and increasing knowledge of healthy and safe conduct in the workplace to create a safe working environment for all of our people.

No matter what process is happening within our facilities on any given day, there is a sense of mutual attention, care, and kindness. We have a commitment to a safe and stable work environment that brings everyone home to their loved ones at the end of each shift.

Our Maintenance and Reliability Team facilitates collaboration and cooperation between trades, production, and maintenance. The result is a safer, more productive, and cost-efficient operation.

The Mining team is responsible for the extraction of Potash from the underground formation, and the delivery of Potash to the production plant for further processing. This includes activities in the areas of Geology, Drilling, Mine Planning, Operations, and Well Servicing.

The Production Department is responsible for the manufacturing and shipping of finished potash ready for market. Four areas make up the Department including Utilities (responsible for cooling and air systems, heating, boilers, and onsite power generation), Evaporation (concentration of potash from the Mine), Wet Process (crystallizing potash, dredging operations, tailings management and drying operations) and Dry Process (responsible for granulation, screening, warehousing, loading operations and shipping).

In addition to our large operations group, we have a large team of other professionals supporting the organization’s success. These roles include Administration, IT, Communications, Accounting, and more.

I love working at K+S because it fosters a collaborative environment where innovation and personal growth are encouraged every day.
