K+S Potash Canada pledges $225,000 to the Children’s Wish Foundation over the next three years
SASKATOON, SK – Today, the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, Saskatchewan Chapter, is pleased to announce a $225,000 gift from K+S Potash Canada. Through this tremendous partnership, Children’s Wish can grant even more wishes to children in need.
“This gift is incredibly special,” said Shelley Dodds, Manager of Resource Development at the Children’s Wish Foundation. “To have a corporate partner dedicated to helping children, and in our case, dedicated to creating the magic of a wish for some of Saskatchewan’s sickest children, in such a large capacity is rare. We are humbled and grateful for their support and look forward to sharing our wishes with the staff of K+S Potash Canada over the next 3 years.”
K+S Potash Canada is part of the K+S Group, a German-based company that has been mining and processing potash and salt for over 125 years. The company is headquartered in Saskatoon with a solution potash mine, Bethune, located near Regina and Moose Jaw.
As a part of their new community engagement plan, “Youth + Us,” K+S Potash Canada has pledged $75,000 per year, over the next three years. This partnership will ensure that Saskatchewan’s sickest children are receiving their most heartfelt wishes.
“K+S Potash Canada’s new Youth + Us community investment program aims to provide young people with access to more that matters,” said Maeghan Dubois, Manager, Communications and Corporate Affairs, at K+S Potash Canada. “That means access to more moments that inspire joy, confidence, and creativity. Our partnership with the Children’s Wish Foundation will assist them in doing what they do best: granting the wishes of young people with life-threatening illnesses by providing happy, hopeful, and worry-free experiences.”
